BENEFICIARIES
- Active legal entities (e.g., S.A., G.P., P.C., Ltd., L.P., etc.).
- Individuals who are active freelancers or self-employed professionals, or partners in personal companies (e.g., G.P. or L.P.) or capital companies (e.g., P.C., Ltd.).
The above-mentioned entities must have outstanding debts to financial institutions and have been affected by the health crisis due to the coronavirus pandemic.
KEY PROGRAM FEATURES
- Subsidy for monthly business loan installments for 8 months.
- Subsidy for both the principal and interest of the loan.
- Reward for consistent borrowers (serviced loans), with high subsidy rates.
STATE CONTRIBUTION
For serviced loans:
- 90% of the monthly installment for the 1st quarter, 80% for the 2nd quarter, and 70% for the remaining 2 months.
For non-performing loans:
- 80% of the monthly installment for the 1st quarter, 70% for the 2nd quarter, and 60% for the remaining 2 months.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
For a sole proprietorship – freelancer that does not employ staff and has a serviced loan:
- Must belong to affected sectors (NACE codes) and have shown a revenue decrease of over 20% in 2020 compared to 2019.
- Family income must not exceed 57,000 euros.
- Any real estate property must not exceed a value of 600,000 euros.
- Any deposits and other financial products – such as shares and bonds – in Greece and abroad must not exceed a value of 40,000 euros.
The maximum monthly subsidy amount is 600 euros per loan.
For a business – freelancer that employs 1 to 9 staff and has a serviced loan:
- Must have an annual turnover of up to 2 million euros.
- Any real estate property – not mortgaged – must not exceed a value of 2.5 million euros.
- Any deposits in Greece and abroad must not exceed 1 million euros.
- Any financial products held – such as shares, bonds – must not exceed a value of 150,000 euros.
The maximum monthly subsidy amount is 5,000 euros per loan.
For a business – freelancer that employs 10 to 49 staff and has a serviced loan:
- Must have an annual turnover of up to 10 million euros.
- Any real estate property of the business (legal entity) – not mortgaged – must not exceed a value of 10 million euros.
- Any deposits in Greece and abroad must not exceed 5 million euros.
- Any financial products held – such as shares, bonds – must not exceed a value of 750,000 euros.
The maximum monthly subsidy amount is 15,000 euros per loan.
For a business – freelancer that employs 50 to 249 staff and has a serviced loan:
- Must have an annual turnover of up to 50 million euros.
- Any real estate property – not mortgaged – must not exceed a value of 50 million euros.
- Any deposits in Greece and abroad must not exceed 25 million euros.
- Any financial products held – such as shares and bonds – must not exceed a value of 3.75 million euros.
The maximum monthly subsidy amount is 50,000 euros per loan.
For legal entities (e.g., S.A., G.P., P.C., Ltd., L.P., etc.), the limits for any real estate property, deposits, and financial products apply only to the business itself, i.e., the VAT number of the legal entity.
For sole proprietorships or freelancers, the limits for any real estate property, deposits, and financial products apply to both themselves and co-beneficiaries (spouses, children, etc.).
Similar criteria are set for businesses and freelancers who have non-performing and/or defaulted debts, and the maximum monthly subsidy amount is proportionally adjusted.
